Boston Celtics star wing Jaylen Brown is taking an offseason visit to China, and certainly appears to be enjoying his time there thus far. Brown even joked he would defect to the Shanghai Sharks—or any other team in the Chinese Basketball Association—if they offer him a contract worth at least $400 million. Brown, 29, is coming off arguably his best individual season after averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field. He finished sixth in the MVP voting. Last offseason, Victor Wembanyama side-quested to China, in particular taking a retreat to the Shaolin Temple in the Henan province. Now Brown is has made his own journey East, albeit following a different path.
